Jared Gardner

Jared is the owner/rancher of Nehalem River Ranch, raises grassfed beef and pastured pork for regional chefs, institutions, and direct to consumers. Jared also owns Nehalem Provisions, an aggregation company helping food producers keep more of the food dollar for themselves. Nehalem Provisions also runs the regional distribution company serving Food Roots, North Coast Food Web, and the 70+ food producers and food businesses in our region looking to grow their markets.

Corey is the owner/architect of EMA Architecture, a client-driven and planet-focused architectural design firm that is also a B-Corp. As trusted advisors and environmental stewards, EMA balances the synergies of people, program, and place to create spaces that reflect values, maintain resilience, and impart lasting positive impacts. EMA specializes in food and beverage and historic renovation, and brings a passion for food and food systems and deep personal commitment to this project.

Benjamin Ariff

Benjamin is a producer, entrepreneur, problem-solver, and above all, a storyteller. Pairing his entrepreneurial attitude with his multidisciplinary skillset, he started Straw to Gold creative marketing studio, where he serves as Principal and Executive Producer. He brings a global perspective into crafting enduring work for both national campaigns and local start-ups he believes in. Benjamin strategically elevates the simple into the sublime to bring business success to his clients.

Heidi is an Astoria resident with a background in large-scale program management in the technology and healthcare spaces. Heidi’s business and technology leadership experience will help Astoria Food Hub’s early phases and expand its innovation and engagement programs over time.

Doug Foote

Doug is a Denver-based attorney who focuses on serving the needs of entrepreneurs and small and medium sized businesses and their owners and executives in all areas of law related to business formation, operation, contracting, financing, purchase and sale. He also counsels and represents lawyers and law firms on matters of legal ethics.  Doug has served as CEO, COO, and CFO of companies in the medical device, environmental, and engineering and consulting fields, as well as general counsel to three operating divisions of a Fortune 250 company. His representation, advice, and creative solutions reflect an experience-based understanding of the effects of legal issues and advice in real-world business situations.
